[Problems with Planning the Vacation]Plans Make a Difference
Á¦ 101 È£    ¹ßÇàÀÏ : 2008.11.19
Summer vacation is coming soon. What do you want to do during the vacation? Many students will plan various things to do such as preparing for employment, traveling around the world, or having part time jobs. However, while there are students who busily spend their time planning for summer vacation every day, there are also students who spend time uselessly during the vacation not knowing what to do.
Why can¡¯t some students spend a meaningful summer vacation? First of all, many students don¡¯t know how to spend their vacation time after their busy life in the department ends. They busily run about before the vacation because of reports, presentations, and exams. However, when the vacation comes, the work that they have continuously been doing is finished, and suddenly they have a lot of free time. According to this situation, many students are concerned about how to spend their free time.
Secondly, many students don¡¯t follow their plans. Most students have made plans for their vacations in the past, and there are definitely many students who plan and practice well. However, students who haven¡¯t made plans are not rare. Furthermore, people sometimes can¡¯t keep their schedule because of personal reasons, but they sometimes put off their plans, thinking that there is a plenty of time.
Lastly, students often plan to do too much work. Planning one¡¯s time is a good habit and making a schedule helps to accomplish goals. However, if people plan to do too much work, they can be confused about what to do first. As a result, people sometimes can¡¯t keep all their plans and end up putting off their work. If this cycle is repeated, their plans can not be fulfilled. The idea of practicing hard is good, but it is not useful if people cannot live up to their plans.
Then how should students spend their time to have a meaningful vacation? Above all, people should decide what they want to do and how to do it. People have goals, and those goals are standards when making a schedule. Achievements according to people¡¯s goals will be more helpful toward spending a substantial vacation than just recklessly following what other people say is good to do.
People also have to try to keep regular hours. People have their own rhythms that suit them. Keeping regular hours following ones own rhythm is not only helpful to manage time during vacation, but is also good for one¡¯s health. In conclusion, this will be helpful to spend summer vacation without regret.
Lastly, the vacation schedule should be prepared in detail. Hyrum W.Smith, a developer of Franklin Planner, said that it is important to make a plan and to follow it every day. He also said that people should follow a plan that can be carried out in a day, not an overly difficult plan. As he said, it will be easy and helpful to stick to a plan when people¡¯s plans are realistic.
Many students will be worried about what to do during the summer vacation. Students probably have their own plans for the vacation which differ from person to person. However, if they have no regrets after they have finished their vacation, it will have been a meaningful vacation.
