While greeting ¡°The Day of CBNU¡±, on last March 17, a very special event occurred for Chungbuk Cheongju FC and student council ¡°Gaehwa.¡± ¡°The Day of CBNU¡± is the event where CBNU collaborated with a professional football team for the first time. It began with the MOU between the student council, aiming for local development, and Chungbuk Cheongju FC, the localʼs only professional soccer team which is participating in the K LEAGUE 2 since last year. Student council Gaehwa commented ¡°We wanted to provide the new culture, ʻwatching soccerʼ with football club. We are planning various projects about new culture, where watching a soccer game can be established in university. Hence, the first event ʻThe Day of CBNU.ʼ¡±
 
The Reserve Officer Training Corps (ROTC) is a student military training corps that can be found in many universities in South Korea. The aim of the ROTC is to train elementary-level officers following the example of the ROTC in the U.S. Especially, the ROTC is an essential resource because it produces about 70% in the number of commissioned officers of elementary-level.

Concerns about academics, conflicts over career choice, difficulties in interpersonal relationships, and anxiety all seem daunting, do not they? The Student Life Counseling Center has a crisis management system in place to proactively respond to students¡¯ psychological crises.
 
CBNU General Education Headquarters will operate a new project CBNU-FTC (Fresh TOEIC Certified) until Tuesday, Dec. 31. CBNU-FTC was established to encourage interest in foreign languages among freshmen (excluding students on leave of absence, re-entry students, transfer students, foreign students, and exchange students) and help them lay the foundation for future advancement into society by cultivating global capabilities.
 
Chungju City, which is from the ¡°Chung¡± in Chungcheongbuk-do, is a city in northern Chungcheong province, South Korea. It borders Jecheon City to the east, Eumseong County to the west, Goesan County and Mungyeong City to the south, Wonju City in Gangwon province, and Yeoju City in Gyeonggi province to the north. Due to the mountains lined up along the Sobaek Mountains to the southeast, the Namhan River (ÑõùÓË°) and Dalcheon Stream (Ó¹ô¹) which passes through Chungju city, Chungju city is located in an inland basin rich in water resources, making it a historical hub since ancient times.
 
College students may have the hope of going abroad at least once. On April 6, 2024, CBT reporter conducted a social media pole on about 50 college students in their 20s, and about 84% indicated that they were interested in overseas service. Overseas volunteering means going to another country and working for thier various forms of needs such as cultural exchange, education, and house repair, etc. It is considered a unique external activity in that it not only improves self-development and service skills while fostering a global mindset, but also enhances friendship and mutual understanding among countries.
 
Most Cheongju citizens will know about a green card called Cheongju Pay. It is a local currency that can only be used in Cheongju City. This voucher was launched to revitalize the local economy and support small business owners. Depending on the purpose, a certain amount of incentives is provided to users to promote citizens¡¯ consumption. However, incentives are also decreasing as the central government¡¯s budget for local currency has been cut. If this situation continues, will Cheongju Pay be effective?
 
When people say that they are going to celebrate someone¡¯s birthday, it is usual to go to an invited birthday party or send a celebration message and present. However, there is a kind of party where the birthday person does not receive any of these celebration messages nor attend the party at all. It is called ¡°birthday cafe¡± that fans of celebrities plan and host.
 
April 3 marks the Jeju 4¡¤3 massacre, a massacre committed by state authorities throughout Jeju for 7 years and 7 months, starting from the incident in which six residents were killed by police on March 1, 1947, and continuing until Sept. 21, 1954. It is a day to commemorate. The Jeju 4¡¤3 Incident resulted in severe casualties during the armed conflict between the armed forces and the punitive forces.
 
In 2024, it is 10 years after the MV Sewol ferry sank on April 16. Families of those who were lost have been looking for missing people and asking the government to find out what really happened. They want to make sure something like this does not happen again. To remember the past 10 years since the tragedy, there will be events all over the country, including Seoul and Ansan. These will include a show of things that belonged to the victims, a new movie about the tragedy, and a festival. A group called the 4¡¤16 10th Anniversary Committee of Sewol Tragedy is also starting to help make things better after the ferry sank.
