Following the 1,000 won (won means KRW) breakfast that has been on offer since May 2, a 2,000 won dinner has been available since Oct. 23. Students may take advantage of this offer from Monday to Friday 5 to 7 p.m. at the Hanbit Restaurant in the student center. This offer will only be valid until Dec. 21 of this year, however, and only the first 300 students can enjoy it daily. | |

When thinking about an English newspaper or international press, what can people usually think ofcc? They may think various presses from CBT which is the one currently reading, The Korea Herald from domestic, Associated Press (AP) and The New York Times (NYT) from U.S. to Reuters and BBC in U.K. These big media often have foreign branches to cover international news. By this chance, CBT reporter had interview with Choe Sang-hun Seoul bureau chief of NYT. South Korea is so heavily centralized in the Seoul capital area that it is often referred to as the “Republic of Seoul.” As of 2023, although the Seoul capital area only accounts for 11.8% of the total national land area, it is home to 51% of the entire population. Moreover, 72% of the population within the Seoul capital area is concentrated in areas that make up only 17% of its total area, highlighting the severity of overpopulation in the region. | |

Last year’s Halloween was a day that shocked and hurt Korea and other countries. This is because 156 people died at a Halloween festivity in Itaewon, Seoul. A large crowd gathered in a narrow and inclined alley, resulting in an additional 195 injuries. Since then, two people who were receiving hospital treatment also died, and a teenage male student who left his friends and survived alone committed suicide. As a result, the total number of deaths came to 159. | |

Currently, the most central theme all over the world is by far Israel-Gaza War. Israel-Gaza War began on Oct. 7 with a surprise attack by Hamas and continues to this day. The war is not only an issue within the Middle East, but it affects the whole world. Many countries, including Europe and Latin America, are indicating their stances towards the war. This article introduces the war and the stances of various countries towards it. | |

This year, the issue that captured the attention of students, professors, and staff at CBNU was undoubtedly the Glocal University 30 Project. CBT has consistently covered and reported on this issue since April. Our coverage includes the initial glocal briefing session held on July 3 for students, 6 small-scale briefing sessions, demonstrations by the student council and the Student Coalition Against Integration, coverage of the public debate on Sept. 1, and on-site reporting during the voting period on Sept. 19-20. | |

Omakase translates to “entrust” which means a Japanese multi-course meal that the chef of the day selects and serves for guests. It is served in order, from appetizers to desserts. Sushi is the main dish, however, Omakase also includes a variety of dishes such as udon, soup, and grilled fish. It usually runs with a small number of guests by appointment only. | |
