¡°Know Thyself¡± University Life Begins With Counseling Center
Á¦ 215 È£    ¹ßÇàÀÏ : 2024.04.22
Do readers agree that there are a variety of concerns  faced during university life? Concerns about academics, conflicts over career choice, difficulties in interpersonal relationships, and anxiety all seem daunting, do not they? Readers may be happy to hear that CBNU has a Student Life Counseling Center where students can share and resolve their concerns. The Student Life Counseling Center has a crisis management system in place to proactively respond to students¡¯ psychological crises. They are actively operating various mental health support programs to help students develop self-affirmation and focus on their studies.
The center will operate the Maeum Bom Bom Project for current students until Friday, May 10. The Maeum Bom Bom Project is ready to help students cope with stress and regulate their emotions, including mental health diagnostic tests. This program includes ¡ãMaeum Bom Bom 1; Mental health diagnostic test (NEO personality test, personal counseling, etc.), ¡ãMaeum Bom Bom 2; Mindfulness Training Program (Meditation, etc.) and ¡ãMaeum Bom Bom 3; It consists of a stress immunity training program (how to cope with stress, observation of self-behavior, finding maladaptive behavior, etc.). The mental health diagnostic test is required, and participation in the other two programs is optional. Any CBNU student can participate, and 200 participating students will be drawn and given a CBNU Woowangi mascot doll or tumbler.
Also, a Mental Health Checkup is prepared for freshmen. If participants take an online psychological test (NEO personality test) which takes about 20 minutes, students can receive personal counseling based on the results. This program is scheduled to run until June, and Woowangi eco bags will be provided to 100 participating students after conducting a satisfaction survey.
In addition, the center offers personal counseling, psychological testing, and self-diagnosis. Counseling can be requested on a variety of topics, including personality, interpersonal relationships, depression, anxiety, family conflict, career path, academics, and addiction. Psychological counseling is provided after conducting a personality test, mental health test, career test, and learning test. Self-diagnosis is conducted for depression, anxiety, post-traumatic stress, suicide risk, alcohol dependence, and early psychosis. If students participate in counseling and programs, they can apply through the Non-curricular Management Integration System, CIEAT (cieat.cbnu.ac.kr). Consultations are conducted at preferred times for participants, Monday through Friday, from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Self-diagnosis can be conducted through the Student Life Center¡¯s official website (counseling.chungbuk.ac.kr). Additional details can be found at the CIEAT and Student Life Counseling Center.
