[Reporter's View] Welcome to the Life of the Chungbuk Times
Á¦ 139 È£    ¹ßÇàÀÏ : 2013.04.02

  ¡°Hello. I¡¯m a new reporter trainee at this time.¡±
To welcome the new semester, new reporter trainees joined the Chungbuk Times(CBT). This was not my first recruiting, but I felt new emotions. Perhaps, it is because it is the last time that I am receiving new reporter trainees before completing my reporter¡¯s term.
For the first time, I was excited and pleased about doing the work, which I vaguely craved, of a reporter. However, when I worked as a reporter, I had hard work as well as good work. I felt like I have been manacled by CBT. I have to be in the office of CBT to make the newspaper every month, so I cannot do other things. This was one of the hard tasks because I had many things I wanted to do. I especially remember the day when I went out to cover the news despite having an examination the next day. The problem was that the promise for the interview was made a week before the deadline. In addition, organizing papers didn¡¯t fit my taste, so it took three days to complete. At that time, I wanted to cry and to resign as a reporter.
I was able to overcome what I encountered during working in CBT with encouraging colleges. We knew it was very hard to make the newspaper, so we could understand about having a harder time compared with others and we also helped each other. Eventually, we always released the newspapers of CBT monthly. When we found people who were reading our newspapers, we were very delighted with that. We had pride of making the newspapers that were distributed in CBNU. Moreover, I got the good chance to meet people of new fields. That was difficult to do as a student. I have experienced meeting people as a reporter.
Now, the junior reporters must enter CBT with their own dreams. Maybe, the real life of a writer may differ from their thoughts. Sometimes, we have to give up private work to finish the monthly released newspapers. However, I am sure that the life of a writer will be good for you. You may see a world that is different from yours as students. Our seniors did, and I also did. Welcome to the life of CBT.
