The influence of a glacial winter wind is dwindling away, and the season when yellowish-green grass shows its face is coming. To welcome the spring, there are lots of flower festivals all over the world. Among the festivals, CBT highlights the 'Keukenhof Flower Show', which expresses the beauty of spring from March to May, and the 'Victoria Flower Count Festival', which looks toward the coming of spring in late February. 
Kukenhof Flower Show
The Keukenhof Flower Show, which is aslo called 'Tulip Time' or 'Spring in Europe', is held in Keukenhof, a village in Lisse, Netherlands. The festival was begun by Mr. Lambooy, the first mayor of Lisse in 1941. During this festival, more than two thousand species and 6 million flowers, such as narcissuses, hyacinth and tulips (which are the symbol of the Netherlands), are used to decorate sculptures. In addition, there are many trees that have lived more than hundreds of  years and lots of fruit trees. Moreover, a lot of animals frolic. During the Kukenhof Flower Show, you can enjoy many activities like the Traditional National Costume Festival, floral mosaics, and performances by various Shantony choirs.
Victoria Flower Count Festival
 The 'Flower Count Festival' is held for a month anually in Victoria, which is called the 'City of Gardens'. This region is located in southernmost Canada, and it is affected by a warm ocean current around it. For these reasons, Victoria is filled with blooming flowers and green vegetation all the year round except for a period of short winter. For these environmental reasons, people have much interest in gardening, and their affections toward the 'Flower Count Festival' are shown. This event is held at the beautiful 'Butchard Gardens' as well as many other gardens around Victoria. During the festival, people bend down and count the number of blossoms. The number of flowers are compiled by phone and announced. It has a symbolic significance, which celebrates that winter is gone and spring is coming.
