What is 'Dokdo Racer 2'?
Dokdo Racer 2 is a project by the club G.T., and the members who are preparing the 'Dokdo Racer 2' project are going to tell the truth about Dokdo to all parts of the world. The project was comprised of traditional Korean cultural performances and seminars for promoting Dokdo. Kim Young-joo(Yonsei Univ. 3), who is the leader of 'Dokdo Racer 2', said, "Most foreigners don't care whether Dokdo will be vested by any other countries. Therefore, we decided to introduce Dokdo and Korea through beautiful Korean traditional culture to the foreigners."
Communication as a solution to the problem
The members consider communication as the most important thing. They communicate issues of Dokdo with domestic and foreign people through Twitter, Facebook and blogs. Kim Yeon-a(Seoul Univ. 3) said, "We study a lot to response correctly to the foreigners' questions." The members will visit Japan, which is the source of the problem, with the purpose of solving the Dokdo problem peacefully.
Difficulties during the process of their project
They gave up their vacation to prepare the project. They have practiced Korean traditional instruments, prepared seminars, and connected with all parts of the world to inform them of their ceremony. Kim Eun-ryeol(Seoul Univ. 2) said, "Many people who are impressed with our activities support us. We are cheered up by their encouragement, and we try to live up to their expectations."
The most important thing is continuous attention
Their main aim is to attract continued attention on Dokdo. Choi Byung-gil(Seoul Univ. 3) said, "We have always felt sad that people's attention to Dokdo has subsided soon after an initial surge of interest. We should try to offer the information and correct the wrong information even after we finish the project.¡°
