[Reporter¡¯s View] Today is Your Best Day!
Á¦ 164 È£    ¹ßÇàÀÏ : 2016.05.02

When I was a freshman or sophomore, I didn¡¯t envy the students wearing school uniforms. I just thought, ¡°If I could go back to the past, I would live more sincerely.¡± and that was all. I was proud of being a university student and I didn¡¯t want to be a high school student who has to study all day long until 10 or 11 p.m. every day. However, after becoming a junior, perhaps I¡¯m stressed to find a job, and now I¡¯m envious of middle or high school students.
Last year, when I didn¡¯t envy middle or high school students, I did regret a little part of my past behavior. I just wished I hadn¡¯t run away from the school during evening self-study time after school, and I wished I had read more books. Those were the trivial things that I regretted. However, I don¡¯t think like that anymore, but I miss those moments. I miss my daily life at high school, for example, wearing a school uniform, studying and talking with friends all day long. Until last year, I couldn¡¯t understand people who missed their old days in school, but now I also miss the past now.
Most people have had these thoughts at one time. Many people miss their childhood or adolescence and want to go back to the past. It is natural that we reminisce about the past, even if they were tough times, as happy times.
Then, is the past always better than now? Maybe it is not. People in their 40s envy people in their 30s, 30-somethings envy 20-somethings, and young adults envy teenagers, too. The common factor in those people¡¯s thoughts is their focus on the good old days without pinpointing a particular time, like second semester of first year of high school or summer vacation of 2nd year in university. It is just the past itself. There isn¡¯t any certain age that people miss. Furthermore, apparently, the present will be a time that we might miss someday.
The reasons why we miss the past are maybe the merits of youth or the regrets of past behavior. However, the things we have to remember are that the youngest time of our life is now and the only time we can make our life plentiful is now as well. Then, why don¡¯t you live today more diligently? Because today is your best day!
