Sobaek Mountain Royal Azalea Festival opens on the top of Sobaek Mountain when the royal azaleas are blooming. Royal azaleas, which are characteristically light pink, make our eyes clear, and their fragrance makes our heads fresh. Also, there are many events related to the royal azaleas along the Namhan River. People enjoy the festival, the precipitous cliffs and the clear water. The festival is becoming a memorial which can share the beauty of nature and the harmony between nature and humans.
Ondal Tourist Resort, Which Has the Spirit of Goguryeo
The *Ondal Tourist Resort was made to commemorate General Ondal, a hero of *Goguryeo. There is the Ondal Cave, which has the mysteriousness of four-hundred-fifty million years. *Ondalsanseong was the origin of the love story of General Ondal and Princess *Pyeonggang which was handed down through generations. Ondalsanseong shows the elaborate construction skills of Goguryeo. Furthermore, the Ondalsanseong is in front of Namhan River and has mountains in its background, so it was easy to defend the land against the invasion of enemies. Also, it is a place where the wisdom of the ancestors of Goguryeo was handed down. Every October, “Ondal Cultural Festival” is held. It is a representative festival of Danyang and is one of the spectacular points of Danyang.

Natural Caves Organized with Limestone: Gosu Cave, Cheondong Cave
Danyang has various caves of limestone because there is “karst topography.” Limestone in the karst topography dissolves easily, so there are many limestone caves. As soon as CBT entered both Gosu Cave and Cheondong caves, it was very cool there like the winter. However, the coolness disappeared, and the CBT staff sweated. The passage in both caves is low and narrow. If a huge person enters the cave, it would be difficult for him or her. In both caves, the humidity is high because subterranean water flows and the temperature is low. There is also a warning that electronic machines can be disrupted.
 The stalactites and stalagmites in caves didn’t have the same shape, although they were similar. Some were similar to mushrooms, and others looked like the praying Virgin Mary. The caves were full of mystery. Even though the exploration is hard, people visit the cave because of the mysteriousness.
