Professors in Chungbuk National University have started to teach humanities in Cheong-ju prison every Wednesday from last month.
  Those classes are held for 2 hours once a week, and the 5 professors are teaching for a year in the study of Korean literature and German literature among others.
  The reason for starting this program for each local prison is that Seoul National University had taught humanities for the first time to prisoners and met with good results.
  Professor Lee Jong-min, who taught on the 10th of October, said, “I frequently do the outlet humanities lecture for introducing the humanities and doing work to help society. Meanwhile, this time I had a chance to teach humanities in prison and I took it.”
  To answer the question, “Don’t you think your topic is too disconnected for the prisoners and a little inappropriate for them?”, the prof said, “The topic which makes prisoners better people, can stimulate them to arouse caution. That's why I gave the lecture as if they were normal people and they felt that. After my lecture, they asked a few questions to me. I was really happy because I felt they were absorbed by my lecture.”
  So far, there have been 4 professors who taught humanities in Cheong-ju prison.
