Osong International Bio Industry Exposition, which is co-sponsored by Chungcheongbuk-do, the Ministry of Trade, Industry & Energy, Cheongju City and Cheongwon-gun, will be held from September 26th to October 12th. The government has been continuously investing in bio industry to increase its national competitiveness. Chungcheongbuk-do has informed people in and outside the country about the excellence of Osong Biovalley since the 2002 Osong International Bio Industry Exposition. The expo in 2002 was aimed at public relations, education and attracting visitors. However, the 2014 Expo will combine B2B(B2B is the selling of goods and services by one company to another) and B2C(B2C is the selling  of goods and services by businesses to consumers) for a cutting-edge industrial exposition. By combining them, the expo is expected to receive investment funds from a lot of companies. Therefore, it will be an important event to strengthen international competitive power in bio industry.
  This year, the expo is made up of 6 themes. ‘Beauty Experience Center’ and ‘Education Experience Center’ are especially expected to attract college students. In the ‘Beauty Experience Center’, visitors will get customized cosmetic samplers and have skin problems diagnosed. In ‘Education Experience Center’, visitors can experience and experiment on mysteries of life science. Also, the Nobelist Aaron Ciechanover and many great scholars will hold the international science council.
