As the building of the College of Society, which will be completed in December, is being constructed, the features of the building are showing gradually. However, as opposed to the expectation of the new building, some problems have arisen about the work.
This construction has become an obstacle for students to pass the way because it borders on the Jung-mun gate, which is a popular route for students. Shifting the materials makes noise, and dust from the soil and cement is raised by the walking students and the workers. As the trucks pass frequently, the safety of students is also a problem. Many students mutter disaffection due to these reasons.
Han Se-jin (School of Electrical and Computer Engineering, 1) said, “Students living in a dormitory feel inconvenienced because of the construction. A screen, which can shut off the noise and dust, should be set up, or the work should progress at night to decrease the current of students.”
In order for students not to have dissatisfaction, the supervisor needs to pay close attention to the construction process.
