Last March 1, the School of Electrical and Computer Engineering, which belongs directly to the College of Engineering, was converted into the College of Electrical and Computer Engineering for the first time among all national universities. It is because the liberalization of the educational organization of universities was granted by the Ministry of Education, Science and Technology. Therefore, CBNU was reorganized into 13 colleges and 8 graduate schools.
The School of Electrical and Computer Engineering has been performing principal national policies such as the businesses of Nu-Ri and BK. Furthermore, the college was already recognized as a premium institution by receiving the Preliminary Certification in the Engineering Education Department. Moreover, the discomfort that it belongs to the College of Engineering was solved. Also, it can focus on the training of talented people in the field of IT because it can be a self-regulating educational course in the college. The whole country will acknowledge CBNU’s College of Electric Science and Computer Engineering.
Jeon Jung-nam, the vice president of the College of Electrical and Computer Engineering, said, “Students should study harder before the celebrity of CBNU becomes higher. In the past, CBNU had progress in various businesses. At this time, a new business is also starting. As it started, we will support our students. We should have a sense of purpose as much as we can. If students follow the course well, the college could keep our support. Let’s make the best department in the whole nation by doing our best for our present and the future.”
The School of Electrical and Computer Engineering made good results, through continuous activities and made CBNU famous. There are possibilities to improve by being established to a college. CBT hopes that CBNU will advance all over the world and the abilities of the 13 colleges will excel, including the College of Electrical and Computer Engineering.
