CBNU has a sprawling campus where various colleges and research facilities are widely dispersed, which may initially feel overwhelming for freshmen. Since classrooms are often located in different zones, failing to consider travel routes can make it difficult to move between classes. Understanding the campus layout is a crucial element in successfully adapting to university life.

  CBNU uses a building numbering system divided into the N, E, and S zones. This system is more than just a label; it is designed to help students intuitively locate buildings. For instance, the Humanities and Social Science Hall(Lecture Building)(N14) and the College of Social Sciences(N15) are major locations for general education courses. Meanwhile, major-specific classes are held in buildings such as the College of Engineering Main Hall(E8-1 to 5), College of Natural Sciences(S1-1 to 5), College of Agriculture, Life & Environment Sciences S21-4), College of Human Ecology(N20-1), and the College of Humanities(N16-1).

  The campus offers a variety of specialized study environments. The Student Union Building(E3), specifically the first and second floors, offers a relatively casual atmosphere perfect for finishing quick assignments or doing light studying. These spaces are highly accessible as they do not require reservations. Furthermore, they are open 24 hours a day, making them convenient to use at any time, even outside of exam periods.   

  For more intensive study, the University Library(N12) is the ideal choice. The library includes various types of reading rooms. Specifically, the Reading Room 1―Room of Truth and Reading Room 2―Room of Justice, private reading rooms located on the first floor of the Building 1(Original Building), operate 24/7 year-round and are highly recommended for long hours of individual study. The library also provides group study rooms for team projects. First-time users should note that a password is required for entry, which can be found via the CBNU Mobile Library application when making a reservation. In addition, a minimum of three people is required to reserve these rooms.

  During exam periods, the University Library often becomes overcrowded, making it difficult to find a seat. In such cases, college lounges serve as valuable study spaces or quiet places to rest between classes.   

 

  This lounge features organized seating and a quiet atmosphere, making it ideal for focused individual work. Its sleek grey-and-black interior distinguishes it from other lounges, offering a professional environment with minimal distractions for efficient studying.

  Characterized by high ceilings and an open feel, this space provides a comfortable atmosphere. It includes both group and individual seating, making it suitable for both solo study and team assignments. Additionally, snack and drink vending machines are located right next to the lounge for quick refreshments.

  Located on the outskirts of campus, these lounges offer a quiet environment for reading or chatting with classmates. The third floor lounge features floor-to-ceiling windows that fill the space with natural light. The view of green trees outside the windows provides a sense of visual stability and peace. A newly renovated first floor lounge near the main entrance is also popular as a resting area; it is conveniently located next to a copy room for printing class materials.

  Named the Dream Edu Cafe, this space is designed for relaxation. It features numerous face-to-face tables that encourage natural conversation, as well as sofa seating for comfortable short breaks. Its large seating capacity makes it an easy place for groups to gather or for individuals to stop by for a quick rest.

  The CBNU campus is home to various green spaces and trails. Here are some of the most unique paths:

• Haengbok-dam-gil: Located behind the Center for Research Instrument Facilities(N11), this hill path is surrounded by trees and greenery, making it perfect for a refreshing change of pace. The name “Haengbok-dam-gil” reflects the hope that everyone walking through these woods will “be filled with happiness.”

• Main Gate Lawn: This area is a hub of activity, where students enjoy picnics in the spring and festival performances in the autumn. It is also bordered by a lush, wooded walking path.

• Yeon-ri-won: Located behind the College of Hu- manities(N16-1), this “lifestyle garden” means “a garden of connection that brings people together” It is equipped with bright lights, allowing for safe walks even at night.

  By exploring these spaces and finding a study environment that suits them best, freshmen may be taking their first step toward a more stable and meaningful university life. A university is not just a place to attend classes but a space for personal growth. Students are encouraged to actively enjoy and engage with campus life.
