From September 28 to the 30, the Geashin Daedong Festival was held. The theme of this festival was ¡°Sharing, Challenge, and Unity."

During the festival, various events, such as a world record challenge by making a 59m Injeolmi, a marathon race on campus, and a quiz show, took place. This year, there was a special song festival with local residents. This event was planned based on the recognition that the Gashin Daedong Festival was not only for CBNU students but also for the local community. In addition to these programs, the Girls Students Association opened events for female students, the Disability Supporter Center held programs for experiencing disabled people's hardships, and students of a CBNU public relations team provided a program for students.

Park Sae-bo-mi(a student of the Dept. of Geography Education, 10) said, "Through experiencing disabled people's difficulties, I can better understand them. It was a valuable experience. Programs like this make students feel that the festival is not just playing with friends but also understanding each other."

However, this festival left something to be desired. 7080 Concert Program, a song festival with university staff members and faculty, was canceled because of a lack of publicity and participation from staff members. In the case of the Daedong Song Festival, many students wondered about the orders of performance, but the General Students Association did not inform students about the timetable. During the event of tying up ribbons with each person's wishes, event assistants were often absent, so students could not participate in that.

In addition, some events did not follow the original plan that had been notified to students before the festival. According to the plan, a final game of Human Korean Chess, where people become chess pieces, had been scheduled to be held in a schoolyard, but actually it was held in Gashin Culture Center Plaza. The Gyun-woo and Jing-nyuh program, a time for a public proposal by a couple, was also changed. These situations confused students who gathered to watch.

Lee Jong-hyun (the secretary-general of GSA) said, "GSA also felt sorry for students about the aforementioned problems. I hope that, in our next festival, these problems will be fixed and more students will participate in the festival." For making a successful CBNU festival, active participation of students is required in company with an effort from the GSA.
