Six CBNU professors are listed in the 2011 edition of 'Marquis Who's Who in the World'. It is one of the famed biographical annals. Albert Nelson Marquis published the first edition in 1899. Every year, 'Marquis Who's Who in the World' introduces famous people from every field in the world.

Shim Bok Seob, a professor of the Department of Arts, has studied public design, three-dimensional figures and space for 10 years. He has not only studied but also volunteered for his local community. Shim said this acknowledgment has a significant meaning for his works and for the importance of basic formative arts. In the future, he's going to research the ways to connect the basic fields and the applied fields of plastic arts.

Ryu Yeon Taek, a professor of the Department of Geography Education, is a representative of both the U.N. Conference on the Standardization of Geographical Names and the U.N. Group of Experts on Geographical Names. He's going to complete the international efforts for standardization of geographical names. Most of all, during meetings, he's going to consistently raise the correct understandings on recording ‘East Sea' instead of 'Sea of Japan'.

Chou Yong Gu , a professor of the Department of Crop Science, has presented approximately 100 papers about the heredity of rice and rice genes, and he made a genetic map of rice molecules for the first time in Korea. He contributed to the development of genes as a result. He's going to continue his research to clarify the unknown genes' functions in rice and wheat by applying his results and experience so far. By developing new varieties with resistance capacity, higher quality, and higher productivity, he's going to help solve the food shortage problem of humankind.

Lee Hang Woo, a professor of the Department of Sociology, has presented numerous papers in the fields of information sociology, for example digital democracy, global governance, and organization dynamics of the Internet. He's going to carry his investigation forward in these fields and publish his book analyzing digital culture between Korea and foreign countries in addition to writing papers.

Oh Tschon Cha, a professor of the Department of German Language and Literature, has written many papers about postwar German literature, women's literature, and teaching methods of literature. Also, she was the head of the CBNU Institute of Humanities and the dean of the College of Humanities and she has performed academic activities

Yoon Nam Sik , a professor of the Department of Electrical Engineering, has studied the features and industrial applications of plasma, which is called the fourth the state of matter, subsequent to solid, liquid, and gas. He also has presented papers about his unique findings of plasma.
