Play Futsal on CBNU Campus
Á¦ È£    ¹ßÇàÀÏ : 2010.11.01
On campus, the futsal stadium is being constructed on the site where the old Student Club Rooms(building number 11) used to be located.
The General Student Association(GSA) suggested to the Department of Student Affairs to build a futsal stadium. As one of the GSA's agenda, the construction of the stadium is about to be fulfilled. Futsal has been so popular to lots of students. Since there is no futsal stadium on campus, the students have to go to a couple of stadiums outside CBNU to play futsal, which costs unreasonably high. Furthermore, other national universities such as Kyungpook National University and Pukyong National University are already equipped with futsal stadiums. With consideration of these facts, CBNU is building the stadium.
The secondary playground and the site behind the No.1 Student Union Building were considered as places for building the stadium, but the old Student Club Rooms, which was demolished due to the shortfall of safety standards, was finally selected for the best spot. Most of all, the site secures a proper space for the stadium, which is 40 meters long with a width of 20 meters. In addition to this, it is good to play futsal because it is well-shaded by trees and easy to access. The construction began on October 8 and, originally, it was expected to be finished on November 14. However, an official of the Department of Facilities Management said, "It will be completed in early November because of its fast progress." It is estimated that it costs about two hundred million won.
The Department of Student Affairs made it public that users of the futsal stadium have to pay. The price will be decided after the department collects students' opinions. The rest of the details such as available times and the range of users will be prepared before completing the stadium.
An official of the Department of Facilities Management, Kim Won-sul, who is in charge of the construction said, "The futsal stadium will also be used to play foot volleyball because we plan to draw a line and install a net for foot volleyball. Namely, we are making a multipurpose stadium."
A freshman of Civil Engineering, Kim Seong-koo, who was passing by the construction site, said, "I usually play futsal, so it is good news to me that a futsal stadium is under construction on this campus."
