Following the lecture by Dr. Giaever, six speakers, including Dr. Douglas Bigia from Intel Corp and Prof. Park Je-kyun from KAIST(Korea Advanced Institute of Science and Technology), disclosed the results of their research under the theme "U-Health" in two sessions.

The awards ceremony for prose and microphotography, in which students submitted their work to a competiton that was arranged by Chungcheongbuk-do, was conducted on the next day.

Lee Si-jong, governor of Chungcheongbuk-do, asked the participants to support and cooperate actively, saying, "Thanks to the opening of the KTX Osong junction station, the expansion of cultural facilities and the construction of an independent private high school, Osong will become an international Bio-mecca".

The Chungcheongbuk-do government played host of the event, and it was sponsored by CBNU, the Ministry of Health & Welfare and the Ministry of Education, Science & Technology.
