"Piero's First Love", which represents CBNU students, has been in office for almost one year now since it was established on March 1, 2010. When the GSA began its activities, it tried to listen to a diversity of CBNU students' opinions and requests. However, such effort doesn't seem to continue anymore.
The 43rd election for the GSA of CBNU took place on November 24. The president and the vice-president of the current GSA should participate in the election as committee members of the Central Election Management Committee. According to the manager of "Piero's First Love," many officials already left the GSA. The reasons for withdrawing are that the officials are busy because most of them are seniors who have graduation ahead and some officials ran in the election and others took part in as a watchdog at the election. According to the detailed rules for elections of the Central Election Management Committee, if an official of a GSA hopes to run for an election or becomes a witness, the official should be excused from the GSA.
Under the circumstances, the works of "Piero's First Love," have been paralyzed. An official who was in charge of a text message information service ran in the election, so the service was practically stopped. The operation of the GSA's website was also ceased without any notice. A reporter could hear some words from an official about the website. He said, "The website is inaccessible for a while due to a change of web hosting." Nowadays, the office of the GSA is almost empty. Because of this situation, a reporter, who planned to request an interview, couldn't contact any officials though she often made calls to the GSA. The office, which always has to open the door to students for receiving their needs and demands, has been left unattended.
The GSA's term is officially until the end of February. However, "Piero's First Love" already seems to have finished its official term through its recent behavior in an irresponsible manner. The officials, especially who threw aside their tasks for the latest election, made students feel disappointed with the GSA. Because "Piero's First Love," with more than a few months left before the expiration of the GSA's official term, has fulfilled its election pledges relatively better than previous GSAs, so its neglect of duty has intensified students' disappointment.
