The GSA is Trying to Fulfill Remaining Pledges
Á¦ 128 È£    ¹ßÇàÀÏ : 2011.10.31

The General Students Association(GSA) made a primary report on Oct. 17th about whether they fulfilled their election pledges. 52% of the 28 election pledges are finished. 32% of the election pledges are ongoing and 11% are unexecuted.
The Chungbuk Times carried out a survey about the GSA's election pledges. A total of 525 people participated in the survey. 54.5% of the students replied 'No' to the question about whether GSA has fulfilled the election pledges well. 37.5% of the students said 'Yes' to the question.
On the question about the most well-implemented pledges, the 1,000 Won TOEIC Practice Test and the Free TOEIC Practice Test received 29.5%. The students who chose it said that 'Because students had heard and known about the pledge well' or 'Because its price was less expensive than the higher prices of general TOEIC tests'. The GSA held the 1,000 Won TOEIC Practice Test on May 21st and the Free TOEIC Practice Test on Sep. 17th. The total number of the participating students was 450 people.
The Cart of a Late-night Meal, which ranked second with 28.4% of the votes, was held three times on Apr. 20th, June 8th and Oct. 19th of this year. A total of 2,800 students received late-night meals. Seo Yu-mi, a student of the Department of New Materials Engineering 08¡¯, said, "I have participated continuously in the Cart of a Late-night Meal for two years. When I was hungry while studying, I gained strength thanks to the late-night meals."
On the question about the pledges that needed more attention, 46.7% of the participated students selected the pledge to enact the two school regulations where students can abandon credits and carry over credits. If these rules come into effect, students who attend CBNU for over seven semesters can renounce credits less than B0. Also, they can carry up to three credits forward to the next semester through another rule.
Choi Won-mi, the GSA president of "The Plus", said, "Now, we are trying to establish the school regulations which can abandon credits and carry over credits. The two rules are already planned to come into effect in 2012. We explained clearly about it in a regular general meeting, the meeting with CBNU students and during election times. The GSA finished collecting opinions of all colleges. The GSA still has to collect opinions of the deans and the commissioners of all colleges. We will try continuously until these pledges are implemented. We expect continuing interests from you."
In conclusion, on the question about the most well-implemented pledges, the 1,000 Won TOEIC Practice Test and Free TOEIC Practice Test ranked first with 28.4%. The Carriage of a Late-night Meal ranked second with 25.6% and the Rock Festival ranked third with 20.2% of votes.
Also, on the question about the pledges needing more attention, the two school regulations where students can abandon credits and carry over credits ranked frist with 36.4%. The expansion of wireless Internet network ranked second with 17.8% and the expansion of Hyeongseol Building¡¯s installation ranked third with 5.3%.
The GSA president said, "We will report about the pledges three more times after a primary report on Oct. 17th. The Plus will do our best during the remaining term of less than three months. I wish that students will maintain their attention to the Plus and the pledges."
