HRC Tries to Increase CBNU Students¡¯ Employment Rate
Á¦ 133 È£    ¹ßÇàÀÏ : 2012.05.26

As the youth unemployment rate has increased, finding a job is a major concern for college students. The CBNU Human Resources Center(HRC) is providing efficient programs and information about jobs for seniors, graduates and students who haven¡¯t decided their dreams.
The CBNU HRC set up a goal to achieve a 60% employment rate during the first half of the year, and it is running several programs.
The employment department of the HRC is running a self-interview program, a program for correcting letters of self introduction, and holding jobs fairs such as JUMP-UP. The Employment Department is especially helping students with finding a job through the recruiting agency JUMP-UP. JUMP-UP recruiting is held three times a week regularly. On Tuesdays and Thursdays, job consulting is available. The job consulting program consists of three classes. The Dream Class is for students agonizing over their careers. The Elite Class is for students who want to improve their letters of self-introduction. The Ace Class is held to analyze and resolve the causes of employment failure. On Saturdays, lectures by invited graduates are held to tell their stories about how they prepared for finding their jobs. In addition, the HRC runs classes 'Power Coaching Leadership', 'Job Searching and Setting Career Goal', 'Professional and Social Advancement' to consistently provide students with information.
The HRC official, Han Jeong-hee, said, ¡°Each program¡¯s participation rate is slightly different. Many students are participating in career consulting, and 90% of all participants are seniors. Some companies have commissioned the special recruitment of students, but many students missed the opportunity because they didn't know about the chance. The HRC has a plan to work on the JOB Supporters program, which informs CBNU students of HRC¡¯s programs for employment.
On every Saturday from April 14th to May 17th, the HRC graduates are invited to lecture. Nam Seun-jin(Dept. of Physics ¡®06), who participated in the lecture, said, ¡°In the lectures which companies have given, I can not get useful information, but through lectures by invited graduates, I can hear more vivid information, so I have a good chance for employment." Son Hyeon-seok(Dept. of Administration ¡¯07), "I have taken part in almost every graduate¡¯s lecture. I can feel the urgency from the employed graduates¡¯ stories, and it is a good time to accumulate know-how about finding a job.
