Recently, CBNU students expressed their dissatisfaction that the CBNU cafeteria food was not varied. Lee Geum-seop, who is a student of the chemistry department, said, “The kinds of foods are not really varied. When meals with rice, soup, and side dishes were changed to stew in the last month, I was embarrassed because I could not select what I ate. That was because the kinds of foods are not varied.”
 
 Living Cooperative Association(LCA) is running 3 cafeterias and 1 restaurant for school personnel at the present time. CBNU students usually go to Han-bit cafeteria, which sells three kinds of rice balls in the morning and a stew in the evening. In the afternoon, the cafeteria sells meals with rice, soup, and side dishes, rice served with toppings, and instant noodles. Unlike CBNU, the LCA of Chonbuk National University runs 6 cafeterias and they sell various foods to students which are different from day to day. The LCA of Kyungpook National University similarly runs 5 cafeterias to sell many kinds of foods. In particular, both universities’ LCAs run cafeterias on Saturday, unlike CBNU, so they provide convenience for students who go to school on Saturday. There are also 4 cafeterias and 2 restaurants for school personnel in Kangwon National University. The LCA of KWNU runs more restaurants for school personnel than the LCA of CBNU. Their menus are divided into Korean food, Western food, Chinese food, and a snack bar. It is notable for KWNU cafeterias to take group orders when students have school events.  
 
 About complaints by students who want to eat many kinds of foods, Che Hyeon-suk, who belongs to LCA, said, “Because we clean all foods by hand, it takes a lot of time to cook foods, so there is limitation to the diversity of foods. To diversify the kinds of foods, we need to increase the number of cooks and the cost of materials.”
 
 To diversify the kinds of foods without these burdens, the LCA plans to introduce new measurements. She said, “Because students frequently eat instant noodles, we will diversify the kinds of instant noodles such as instant noodles with cheese, seafood, or wonton. We also will put 2 kinds of foods on every plate. It means that we will put a handmade pork cutlet and a fish cutlet or a big steak and a fish cutlet on the plate. The present menu is comprised of separate foods. On the other hand, selling snacks in Han-bit cafeteria will be interrupted due to low sales. Instead, we will simplify the kinds of snacks.”
