The Student Council Received a Poor Satisfaction Rating of 4.34 out of 10.

  In 2015, on the 27th of November, Chungjeonwanryo was re-elected as the student council. Chungjeonwanryo spoke of their aspirations that they will satisfy every single student. They strongly emphasized their major pledges such as the 112 Campaign, where one council member meets 2 students per a day to communicate, and A+ Improvement, which expands the number of students who can earn an A+, even though it received the most complaints. They started to grab the attention from students by promoting a travel campaign, but realistically, there were many fruitless pledges, and it caused many problems.
  The CBNU Press carried out a survey of 680 students about the satisfaction with Chungjeonwanryo. In the inquiry, ¡®What score would you give to Chungjeonwanryo out of 10¡¯, the score was 4.34 on average. In the inquiry, ¡®Do you think Chungjeonwanryo completed each pledge well,' the answer ¡®Good¡¯ was 8.38%, ¡®So, so¡¯ was 48%, and ¡®Not really¡¯ was 43.53%.
  The pledges were also ranked from best to worst: welfare 26.74%, culture 25.29%, others 16.03%, facilities 14.41%, academic affairs 10.59%, sports 4.85%, travel 1.41% and communication 0.59%. Among the pledges, the best one was the Nap-zone, which was one of the welfare pledges. Kim Tae-yeong, the president of our student council, said, ¡°Kickboard, So-Car, Jim-carry had some poor aspects about them, but we tried to solve students¡¯ complaints. We are also sorry for not promoting them enough, and when it comes to the Nap-zone, it was popular and students asked us to arrange more sleeping chairs. I think that¡¯s why it got high marks.¡±
  Concerning the question, ¡®Do you think the Student Council communicated with students well,¡¯ ¡®Good¡¯ was 3.38%, ¡®So, so¡¯ was 31.90%, and ¡®Not really¡¯ was 64.70%. Even though they tried to communicate with students by implementing pledges like the 112 Campaign, most students felt they didn¡¯t do it well. Koo Da-yeong (¡¯15, College of Veterinary Medicine) said, ¡°During the election campaigning, they caused confusion for students by promoting the pledges that were actually still under negotiation. In addition, on SNS, complaints about blaming Chungjeonwanryo were spread. However, I haven¡¯t seen any complete letters of explanation from Chungjeonwanryo about those complaints. They didn¡¯t even try to explain about the negative complaints, so they were poor at communicating with students. I lost trust in them.¡± Kim Tae-yeong said, ¡°After I saw the survey, I thought I should have done much better, and I thought I should try my hardest until my work ends. I apologize for everything I¡¯ve done badly. On the one hand, there were some rumors, and I know students were curious about them. I apologize for confusing students. I made rash promises. I agree that the pledges under negotiation confused students before they were clearly completed, so I¡¯m sorry about that. However, among the rumors, I heard that I ignored phone calls or messages from students, and that¡¯s not true. I¡¯m trying to reply to each call and visit students in person. Again, I¡¯ll do my best until my work ends.¡±
  The Nap Zone was the highest rated pledge, and the worst rated one was the Water Slide program, which was held in this year¡¯s university festival. Most respondents said that they didn¡¯t consider about the fall weather, which meant it could be really cold after enjoying the water slide. Kim Tae-yeong said, ¡°Although we didn¡¯t do exact counting, about 1,000~2,000 students visited there. Many people pointed out the inappropriate time and expense problem. Considering the expense problem, originally, it was supposed to cost about 70 million to 80 million won. However, we spent only about 10 million won operating it. We cannot say we did it with a low price, but we did manage the safety effectively, and students enjoyed it so much that we extended the operating hours until the sun went down. It was our fault that we didn¡¯t explain about it in more detail.¡±
  The most expected task students anticipate from the next Student Union is the communication with students. Kim Tae-yeong made his opinion about this result by saying, ¡°I think the priority of the Student Union is communication. As far as I know, communication and PR always have been problems. I hope it will be improved next year to make up for our weak points. I believe the next Student Union will do their best.¡±
  Lastly, Kim Tae-yeong said, ¡°We did many projects, working with city hall and provincial government offices. However, I don¡¯t know how students feel about the progress. We will work harder in the rest of the term. Lastly, thank you to the students who supported us.¡±
