The Survey of CBNU Students About to 2021 from Untact Class in 2020.
Á¦ 195 È£    ¹ßÇàÀÏ : 2020.11.30

Because of COVID-19, from March, CBNU is proceeding untacting class during a year. Due to this, there are many changes in school events and class. It is in doubt that this change will continue in 2021. In the hope of hopeful 2021, to know about the walk of future, CBNU reporters interviewed four students who out of the surface even though there are difficulties in untact and student council who managing students and professor.

Q. What is the effective way of listening non-face-to-face class?
[Department of Political Science and Diplomacy first grade Bang Chae-eun]
I think it is important that finding one¡¯s study method quickly. As for me, I use my hand for direct study. Not only by watching pdf files by smartphone, but also by editing pdf files and printing or writing, I can study effectively even though it was a non-face-to-face class.
[Information Communication Engineering Department third- grade Yeom Jung-hyuk]
During class, I write down the handout or what the professor said and organize it so I can find it easily next time. Also, takes note on the computer, not to forget homework.

Q. How you use time in-between classes
[Korean Language Education first grade Joo Jin-hee]
I am doing a part-time job and reading books. I am earning money to play after COVID-19 ended.
[Department of the German Language and Culture second grade Lee Jong-sung]
It is a feature of non-face-to-face class that there is much homework. So, I spend time doing tasks during break time.
[Information Communication Engineering Department third- grade Yeom Jung-hyuk]
Listening class in house, seats can be easily dirty, so I clean the house simply. To overcome the difficulties of not going to school, it is better to take a walk than just staying in the house.

Q. What is your plan or goal for 2021?
[Department of Political Science and Diplomacy first grade Bang Chae-eun]
I think there will be many activities next year that we can participate in face-to-face. I want to take a long time of thinking about which way I should set up a dream from immediate activities that we could not do in 2020.
[Information Communication Engineering Department third grade Yeom Jung-hyuk]
Because I am facing graduation, I will focus on preparing to get a job and graduation work. Also, to make a beautiful finish in school life, I am going to take the time to make a memory with friends even if I divide the time.

Q. If non-face-to-face classes continue in 2021, is there any suggestion for the school?
[Korean Language Education first grade Joo Jin-hee]
I hope to care about online attendance. I think it is a big problem that we can check after the day we listened to.
[Department of Political Science and Diplomacy first grade Bang Chae-eun]
It is too sad that we cannot feel the happiness of fresher because non-face-to-face classes extended. Also, it would be great to actively support students to do self-improvement in the house. Especially I think it was timely appropriate that doing an adobe supporting project at student council this year.
[Department of Information and Communication Engineering third grade Yeom Jung-hyuk]
I hope university will actively support more fun events so students who did not enjoy 2020 can relax a little bit.
For the first time in 2020, Chungbuk National University held an online festival under the supervision of the student council. CBNU reporter interviewed with Yoo Ji-won, director of public relations at the student council.

Q. What did the 52th student council feel sad about the non-face-to-face activity.
A.
The sad fact is that the existing events, which had to be conducted face-to-face, were conducted without face-to-face. Due to the inevitable non-face-to-face situation, we had to run a different university from the previous one, so there were many things we couldn¡¯t show. The festival, which can be called the flower of the university, was also replaced by the online. So student council feels sorry for this part, but we also feel proud that Chungbuk National University hosted the first online communication system.

Q. Is there anything the 25th student council advice the next student council?
A. I think the student council is an organization that constantly works for classmates, and it is not seen when they work hard in the back, so it can be harder than people thought. Our non-face-to-face events also helped the chairman, vice-chairman, and many other executives, who were supportive of each other. So I hope the next student council always care about each other and work hard for students. Also, next year is the 70th anniversary of Chungbuk National University, so I think it would be more meaningful and proud to plan many events to celebrate it. Finally, Go for it, always with unwavering from start to finish to job as you thought first.
As such, the student council and students are experiencing non-face-to-face events and classes. Lastly, what do professors who prepare for non-face-to-face classes have in mind? CBNU reporter interviewed Professor Lee Dong-Yoon, who is conducting non-face-to-face classes in the introductory course of education.

Q. What are the pros and cons of non-face-to-face classes?
A. The advantage of non-real-time non-face-to-face classes is that students can take classes freely without time and space constraints. So students can use their time efficiently, or students can repeat the difficult concepts of the class. I think the disadvantage of non-face-to-face classes is that professors and students cannot communicate in real-time.
¡°Another disadvantage of non-face-to-face classes is that science and engineering majors such as Information communication and technology engineering, which has a large number of experiments and practices, cannot conduct face-to-face experiments and practice, resulting in a decline in students¡¯ practical skills. These days, many companies require a lot of students¡¯ practical skills when they get a job, and I think this decline in their practical skills will have a lot of impact on their employment. However, it seems that watching repeatable video classes will help students improve their understanding of the classes.¡± he said, referring to the importance of their efforts. Both professors said, ¡°Students have worked hard to take classes for a year in an online education system that is still lacking in many ways. I sincerely hope that we will be able to face the campus shortly.¡± he said, offering words of comfort and support to the students who finish 2020.
