Singer Hong Gyeongmin received his honorary diploma from CBNU

CBNU granted singer Hong Gyeongmin an honorary Bachelor's Degree in Political Science and Diplomacy at the 2011 graduation ceremony which was held on the 23rd of last month. Mr. Hong entered the department in 1995. However, he had to give up his studies because he went into the entertainment business as a singer when he was a sophomore. He has kept in touch with alumni, professors and students and actively participated in school events such as the Gaesin Festival even while having a heavy schedule in the entertainment business.
 
39 prospective doctors who started donating

39 prospective doctors who graduated on the 23rd of last month gave promises to donate 10,000won every month for one year to help younger students to devote themselves to studying. They said, "To fulfill our duty, 'a doctor who seeks the truth, pursues justice, pioneers the future' that we learned at school, we decided to donate for younger students of our colleges." The donations are going to be used for poor students.
 
Department of Architecture has gained '5-Year Certification'

On January 31st, department of Architecture has gained '5-Year Certification' which is a top-rated architectural education programme from Korean Architectural Accrediting Board. Last year, dept. of architecture got good grades in 49 factors among 50 evaluation criteria such as curriculum, students' achievement, etc.
