The Ilsun Company could not endure financial problems and went bankrupt on November 9th. Now, there are empty bookcases and notices in the Ilsun libraries located on Sungan Road and CBNU Campus Bookstore. The notice at CBNU`s store said ‘Bookstore is preparing to launch.’
 The Ilsun Company had been a major traditional Area Bookstore Company. However, in July, the Ilsun Company was in danger of bankruptcy due to careless management of finances. The Ilsun Company tried to expand its business to the Nammun road and had suffered from financial stress. In addition, the business environment was getting worse. Internet bookstores have gained popularity and Youngpung library, which has a big scale, entered Cheongju.
 Because of the bankruptcy of Ilsun Company, the CBNU campus bookstore was also closed on November 10th. The bookstore was the only bookstore at CBNU and had specialty publications and workbooks.
 As the Campus Bookstore was closed, many CBNU students were embarrassed because there was just one bookstore on the campus. There was a memo on the Campus bookstore board. The memo said, ‘When can I buy books?’ A Chinese international student, who could not buy a book for the last midterm exam, expressed inconvenience. He said, “Because just one bookstore was managed on the campus, these inconveniences happened.” On the Internet, many students expressed their opinions in the Daum CBNU Cafe. A student expressed strong dissatisfaction. He said, “CBNU is the important national university. It is a disgrace that there was just one book store on the campus and the store was closed.” Another student said, “Students also have a heavy responsibility. CBNU students seldom use the campus bookstore. In the case of the bookstore, it failed to develop inducement of students to visit the bookstore.” Han Ji-won(Dept. of International Business `09) said, “I did not know that the bookstore was closed. It will be hard to buy specialty publications without the campus bookstore. Why did CBNU not announce the bankruptcy of the bookstore to students?”
Regarding students` dissatisfaction, an university officer said, “The contract between CBNU and Ilsun Company expired and we plan to operate the new bookstore ourselves. Although opening the new bookstore has been delayed, CBNU is trying to reduce students` inconveniences.”
