Gaeshin Festival, Made Memories and Changes
Á¦ 143 È£    ¹ßÇàÀÏ : 2013.10.07

2013, ¡®Gaeshin Festival for the 62nd Anniversary of its founding¡¯, which was used the main theme ¡°Response, Revival娡± and a minor theme ¡°Getting into Memory¡±, was held by the ¡®Response3057¡¯ General Students Association(GSA)  for 7 days (9.23~10.02). There were many attempts to raise participation rates, especially through social networks.
This 2013 festival, for the first time, consisted of two parts with each college, the Total Club Committee, the Student Welfare Committee, and the Girl Student Council working to unite the scattered festival.
In the first part of the festival, colleges, dorms and smaller festivals conducted activities for 4 days (9.23~9.26). The second part of the festival was conducted by the ¡®Response3057¡¯ GSA for 3 days (9.31~10.2). Previously, other festivals, such as college, dorm and club festivals, were held sporadically. Through placing all festivals in the same period, the 2013 festival received positive reviews of leading a more united atmosphere. At this point, the chief of the Festival Preparation Committee, Park Hyeon-ji (Dept. of the Food and Nutrition) said, ¡°Previous scattered festivals led to a tendency that the festive mood could not last continuously. For this reason, by binding all festivals in 7 days, we want to have a great synergy effect on the festive mood.¡±
In addition, there were many attempts not only to raise student participation but to try to cast off its dull festival image. Particularly, the ¡®Response3057¡¯ actively utilized Facebook to promote festive events. Also, they introduced a voting system for musical guests. They took a vote about possible musical guests for 7 days and asked students to select one favorite singer actively. Park Hwi-yeong(Dept. the English Language and Literature, ¡¯11) said, ¡°In my case, I actually did not seriously anticipate that CBNU would invite popular singers because it was unprecedented to try to listen to the students¡¯ voices. Actually, it also made me interested in the festival. I wish there would be more programs accommodating the student¡¯s opinions. For this reason, I hope the voting system for musical guests will be kept.¡±
There were about 40 festival events, such as making 620 servings of rice balls, the Korean Golden Bell Contests, and the Huge Blue Marble game. Jin Jae-gwon, the student council president of the ¡®Response3057¡¯ GSA, said, ¡°By preparing for this festival, the main point which we considered was to raise student participation rates and to make CBNU more harmonious.¡±
