The CBNU Consumer Cooperation provides living welfare services for members of the campus and runs businesses to improve the living welfare services. At CBNU, when we eat something, buy some books, use the help of the conveyance business, or rent electronic equipment, those businesses are related to the CBNU Consumer Cooperation. The CBNU Consumer Cooperation is familiar to us, but most students don¡¯t know what they do. Also, we can enjoy benefits when we join the cooperation via visiting the cooperation office, or by visiting the homepage(http://coop.cbnu.ac.kr/) and joining the website. Look in detail at the CBNU Consumer Cooperation with Lee Hui-suk, who is the head director for the CBNU Consumer Cooperation.

We heard that you were nominated as chief director recently. What is different from before?
I didn¡¯t care what happened to our school before, but nowadays, I care more. I care about the services, sanitation, the quality and mood of cafeterias, the cafe, the book store and the bakery, and I think about how students can use their conveniences.

What¡¯s your job description in the CBNU Consumer Cooperation?
I make decisions precisely about the living welfare services on the board of directors, which is composed of all faculty members, employees and students, and I administer the things prudently that the board decides on.

Many students don¡¯t know about the CBNU Consumer Cooperation. What do you think about that?
The CBNU Consumer Cooperation was started 4 years ago. That is why many students don¡¯t know about the CBNU Consumer Cooperation yet, but, nowadays, we advertise online and offline. We made an advertisement booth for the new semester, and we run the CBNU Consumer Cooperation Student Activities Committee because we want to communicate and to make useful advertisements for students.

What is the goal of the CBNU Consumer Cooperation?
The CBNU Consumer Cooperation doesn¡¯t have enough members, so we want to increase the number of members. If that occurs, we can offer a discount to members of the association that non-members couldn¡¯t have, but that is impossible because many students don¡¯t know about our association. That is why we advertise to students. We should find a way to make a difference between members of the association and non-members of the association. That helps the CBNU Consumer Cooperation offer the students good products at low prices.

Please share what you want to say to the students.
Only 3% of all CBNU students, or 602 students, joined the association. We want to provide good products at a low price for students, but the number of members is too low. We should advertise more about the CBNU Consumer Cooperation, and we want more students to have an interest in the CBNU Consumer Cooperation and we want them to join the association.
