The CBNU Consumer Cooperation (CBNU Co-op) proceeded with an environmental improvement project on the 3 school cafeterias for improving the welfare service and living conditions on campus. They tried to increase customer satisfaction by changing the parts that students and faculty felt were uncomfortable. During the past, the most uncomfortable things were that they wanted a comfortable atmosphere when they ate alone and that they wanted separate resting spaces and conference spaces.
  Accordingly, the CBNU Co-op proceeded with an environmental improvement project, which accepted students’ and faculty’s opinions. There are three cafeterias involved in the environment improvement project: the Hanbit Cafeteria, the Byeolbit Cafeteria, and the Faculty Cafeteria. The main changes are the cafeteria’s internal facilities and operating hours. The CBNU Co-op built partitions inside the cafeteria to divide spaces as well as to create a new atmosphere. They built single tables near the window for students who enjoy eating alone or maybe studying while they eat. The Faculty Cafeteria was remodeled specially to facilitate seminars or conferences, thus beam projectors and screens were installed.
  This project changed not only the cafeteria’s internal facilities but also the operating hours. The existing Hanbit Cafeteria’s operating hours are 08:30 a.m. to 06:30 p.m. in the semester and 09:00 a.m. to 06:10 p.m. in vacation, so the cafeteria will open one and a half hours earlier and close one and a half hours later. The operating times of Byeolbit Cafeteria and the Faculty Cafeteria changed similarly.
  In fact, Kim Tae-eon(’12, Dept. of Earth-science Education) who has used the changed cafeteria, said, “I hesitate to eat alone. Thus, I used to walk to my boarding house from school every day. This summer was so hot, so I didn't want to move anywhere and I went to the cafeteria alone for the first time. I had my lunch at a single table and I was really satisfied.” The CBNU Consumer Cooperation and the school cafeteria workers are asking for the help of the students. A school cafeteria worker said, “When you use the cafeteria, you should be mindful of other customers. You have to keep your used table and place tidy for other customers and diners.” In addition, the worker added, “However, there are some limits when there are organized events or school events. You can’t use this place at those times.” The CBNU Consumer Cooperation is changing other facilities steadily. The CBNU Consumer Cooperation’s Kim Eun-jeong said, “We will open a book cafe in the campus bookstore and display new books on new bookshelves. Plus, we will try to repair facilities for pleasant surroundings near the GS convenience store and Mr. Coffee.” She added, “This project will be a good chance to increase our positive image and profit by providing a comfortable atmosphere to students.”
