Jeon Hyo-gyeong, who is a nail artist of Nail Cafe, introduced that the recent fashionable nail art is Gel nail art. Many customers were receiving Gel nail art when we arrived. Gel nail art is decorating nails by using a solution called Gel. It is a feature of Gel nail art to heat Gel by using an exclusive UV lamp when a person dries the Gel. The reason why it is popular is because nail art has good coating and gloss. Unlike enamel solutions, Gel can maintain for 2 weeks to 1 month. The techniques of pasting ornaments can also maintain for a longer time and are stronger by using Gel nail art. Curtailing the application time is also its great strength. Gel sets from one minute to a minute and a half through the UV lamp machine instead of the traditional method of drying over 30 minutes and being careful all day.

Because of these strengths, many customers prefer Gel nail art. However, Gel should be removed by using an exclusive remover because acetone can’t melt the Gel. If a person forces to remove the Gel, this action causes nail damage. Therefore, it is good to get professional care in a nail shop.

Decal art is a method of making patterns on nails by using stickers. Glitter art is the fashion trend now. It splendidly directs the ends of nails. 

Likewise, a charm of nail art is completing your own simple or splendid style of fashion by using one or various techniques.

 Nail artists and customers who get nail art have one thing in common that they love and enjoy nail art.

People go to coffee shops to drink coffee that baristas make although they can make coffee themselves. Likewise, people go to nail shops because they want to get a more specialized service.”

 Many people are dreaming of founding nail shops. Nail shops are especially being spotlighted as business opportunities for women because nail shops’ managers can practice professional skills that are needed in business with comparative ease and the managial burden is small.

However, I thought the nail industry that is sensitive to trends would become a main agent of the beauty industry instead of an option in the future.” Adding to this, he explained, “To found a nail shop, a bold investment and the ability to observe the situation of commercial supremacy is needed like founding any other business. Management is also needed after you open a nail shop. Continuous staff training should be supported because a nail artist is a specialized job.”

Jeon Hyo-gyeong said, “Many people who like nail art think being a nail artist would be fun and easy and they become nail artists. However, receiving nail art is different than doing nail art for other people. Such as in any other profession, there are difficult tasks. However, I think if you have a positive goal and determination, being a nail artist is challenging enough.”
