Every country has a lot of conflicts, and Korea is not an exception. One of the most common conflicts in Korea is a conflict between a wife and her husband¡¯s mother. Recently, on the web, many women expressed stress about making an SNS relationship with their husbands¡¯ mothers, so the conflict has become the talk of the town among many Korean women. They insist that they made an SNS account to relieve stress from the workplace and household by communicating with their friends and acquaintances. However, many husband¡¯s mothers require their daughters-in-law to become a friend on SNS. Thus, many women say SNS has become stressful after making a relationship with their husband¡¯s mothers. Related to it, some people say that making a relationship with a husband¡¯s mother is a good chance to improve relations with her. On the other hand, other people say that it just makes additional conflicts with the husbands¡¯ mothers on SNS.
Recently, a new expression, ¡®the world of a husband¡¯s family¡¯, has been made. Many women use this expression to describe the negative aspects of their husband¡¯s mothers. On the contrary, there are many women who have good relationships with their husbands¡¯ mothers in the real world. However, the conflict is very familiar to ordinary Korean women. In addition, soap operas whose subjects are conflicts between daughters-in-law and husbands¡¯ mothers can easily become popular in Korea. Then, do foreign women also have a negative image about these relationships? Thus, a CBT reporter met some foreign women to hear about relationships in their countries.
